Another Allegation against Cain

Man whats up with all these allegations against Herman Cain.  It is pretty easy to accuse someone of falsly doing something but now it’s getting to be too much.  Now he is admitting to knowing one lady.  But he says how he was helping her with money through economically hard times. I don’t know what to believe, after all you can’t always trust the media, not to mention people just looking for attention.  But with all of these people  coming out making these allegations, its starting to look like Cain put himself in some pretty bad situations. He said as long as his wife is behind him he will continue to stay in the race.  Me I really don’t care who he’s with or had been with as long as he can do the job.

Here’s a link to the article I read earlier on Huffington Post.

Saints Vs. Lions on Sunday Night Dec 4

Well this past week the Saints had off. Next week they face Eli Manning and the NY Giants on espn for Monday Night Football (By the way I think it’s bull they took off Hank) anyway, I found out today in the paper the game after was rescheduled.   You know how the NFL has that flex scheduling after week ten where they could move games around that they think will be better for the primetime spotlight.  Well evidently the NFL and NBC figured the Colts vs the Patriots wouldn’t be fit for Sunday Night, so they replaced it with the Saints and Lions.  Well its pretty exciting to me and I sure am glad I read the article becuase I had two tickets to the game set at noon.  Well looks like I don’t have to leave my house for New Orleans as early then.  It is sort of a bummer that the next day I have work at 7:15 in the morning and two finals in the afternoon.  So I did what any responsible college student would do. Yep that’s right I’ll get home at about one o clock in the morning, get a few hours of sleep, get through a few hours of work, and wing the crap out of them tests.  Now my fiancee on the other hand actually decided not to go, but I see her point she has to drive an hour in a half to her final at 9 in the morning, she said “I’d like to get to school alive” can’t argue with that.  But sorry everyone I found someone to go with me.

Well today a pep rally was held at the Cajuns practice facility. Everyone pretty much assumed which Bowl game they would get invited to but the official invitation finally came at the practice facility today at 5:30.    The Cajuns at 6-2 in conference play and 8-3 overall have accepted the invite. December 17  kickoff set at 8 pm.  They will be playing a representative from the Conference USA, that has yet to be decided.  I couldn’t go to the pep rally cause I had class but I plan on getting some tickets. This will be the first appereance in 41 years for the School the last one in the Grantland Rice Bowl where they lost 25-26 to Tennessee State in Baton Rouge in 1970.  It really is cool to be able to witness this as a current student, espescially being it’s my senior year.  Go Cajuns!!!!!

Jack and JIll

I havn’t been going to the movies too much lately, but this past Saturday I decided to check one out.  I went see Jack and Jill, where  Adam Sandler plays two roles one male one female Jack and Jill.  I have to say it was some good acting, the characters he played were twins, I kept forgetting he was in both roles.  The sister (Jill) in the movie was known to be a real pain in the ass and the brother (Jack) was this film producer who made a living making commercials in LA.  Well Jack was faced with a challenge as his biggest customer was threatening to take their buisness elseware unless he could get Al Pacino to do a commercial for their company Dunkin Doughnuts.  Well then Jill comes in from New York for the holidays and trust me their are plenty of ha ha moments.  But their were some pretty touchy moments were the characters showed some true emotion, and these were the parts that really impressed me, for Adam Sandler to be able to produce those types of feelings from a female perspective it was really good.  Of course I’m not going to go into specific detail about everything, I would hate to spoil anything for anyone planning on watching it in the future.

Oh and if you were wondering of course you see the other actors you normally see in Adam Sandler movies throughout the course of the movie, making for even more laughs.

I found a way to put up my own videos without having to pay for the upgrade check it out.

This is from when the Saints played the Bucs on 1-2-11

The Cajuns Are the Real Deal

I gotta say coach Hudspeth is doing some good things for the football team this year.  The Cajuns are Bowl eligible and are playing for the SunBelt Championship this saturday.

Last week was a bit shaky, they had a really close one against ULM.  I feel ashamed to say I left before the game was over.  As big a football fan I am I never do that.  But the one time I do something really big happens.  In case you don’t know the Cajuns were down to ULM and backed up on their own goal-line. The starting QB Gautier went down and Mason came in. An interception was thown.  And a few plays later ULM punched it in, adding salt to the wound.  It appeared that their wasn’t much hope as ULM was two scores ahead. But the Cajuns never gave up.  They came back with a touchdown, recovered an onside kick, and another touchdown, showing ULM how true champions play to win the game 36-35 great game, one of the best, and here I am almost a week later kicking myself for missing the best part, all I can do is watch clips from youtube about it.  Well anyway they looking to get into a bowl game and it looks as they can get into the New Orleans Bowl. Its my senior year at UL capping off the season with seeing the Cajuns in a bowl game would be awesome, so you know Ima be their, just hope the cost of the tickets don’t burn too much of a hole in my wallet. Anyway if you missed the end of the game like me I found this video on youtube that shows the highlights of the game.

I was reading a post on HuffPost about this lady that was stuck at an airport for 8 days over a 60 dollar baggage fee.  Really is this what the world has come to?  What had happened was she ordered tickets off of orbitz, she paid the ticket fees but what caught her was the hidden fees at the airport.  Because she didn’t have but 30 bucks she had nowhere to go.

Now you think the airline could’ve made an exception in this case.  I mean she had 30 bucks they could have given her some of her luggage and sent her on her way.  But no they made her miss her flight.  She sought out the help of a local church to help cover her costs.  That’s ashame I know the profit margin in the airline industry is small but come on one person won’t make or break an airline. Now they say they are sorry but they cant refund the money because she bought a non refundable ticket, c’mon that just makes me sick.

Since when are customers at the mercy of business.

Whats up with the Cowboys

I guess everyone has that one team they can’t stand and for me that team is the “beloved Dallas Cowboys”. I just don’t buy the hype. When Tony Romo came around all anyone said was how great he is and all the things he can do whatever. Man I didn’t see nothing impressive yet from him. When I think of Romo I think of average (maybe) when he is playing. Or I hear about how he’s dating some supermodel and some believe her presence at the game makes him play bad. You ever thought that maybe he just not as good as everyone says? And then you got Jerry Jones, with all the money he has and puts into his team they just can’t seem to put a good season together. Just goes to show you you cant fill a team up with stars and just fgure they will automatically win. Tell you what give me a bunch of players that will listen and get on board with a common goal and i’ll take that over a bunch of pre-modonnas anyday.

Its all over but the crying in NO

Well watching the Saints drop any game really sucks.  The only thing that could make it worse is if the loss comes to a team that appears to be one of the worst in the NFL. Wait… that is exactly what happened today.  I was doing some homework as the game started when i looked up I noticed the Rams were up.  I thought oh its just taking a while for the saints to get started.  then halftime came I thought well maybe some adjustments are just needed. Then at some point in the 4th i realized, man the saints are really bout to loose to the rams and sure enough.  I gotta say the Rams did things you see a good team do.  Getting and capitalizing off of turnovers, to adding salt to the wound at the end with that pick 6. Well good news for Indianapolis maybe they can get the first pick. So yea my hats off to the Rams they did okay.

Which way will the ball bounce for you?

Well I’m sure we are all familiar with the overtime rules among the different levels of football, but if your not here’s a quick look.  In college basically both teams start on the same yardline in the opponents territoy and has a chance to score. Once the team scores or turns the ball over the opposing team then has a chance to tie or beat the score. If the team fails the original team wins if they beat the score they win if they tie the process repeats. Well in the NFL it is sudden death the first team to score wins period. Which brings many to say that often the rule isnt fair.

In college the overtime period keeps going until one side wins, allowing the process to be fairly long.  It gives both sides an equal chance to score, so many say this is much more fair then sudden death.  But what is fair? I mean dosen’t both teams have that chance in the original 4 quaters in regulation to win.  Afterall coaches put together gameplans to win not to tie.  So that makes me pose the question is it really fair or just too forgiving.

And also Overtime wasn’t ment to be “fair” it is ment to be a tie breaker, wich makes it neutral, so why should one argue that it be fair to both teams all the time

On the otherhand in the NFL where the first team to score wins: this seems to be the opposite of the extreme.  A team can win simply by winning the coin toss and running back the kick off, and the other team has no chance. And with the offenses of today teams can easily get into field goal range and kick a game winning field goal making orchestrating a succesfull defensive stand almost impossible. So the game can often come down to who wins a coin toss. But like I said earlier both teams had ample chance during regulation.  But the winner shouldn’t be determined by chance

So what is the best way to carry out overtime?  Give both teams equal chance to score? they had that chance all game long. or Sudden Death? which seems a little extreme.

I think a combination of the two would probably be best.

Start with a coin toss. Have the teams kick off, that way field position is determined just like normal. So instead of starting in the opposing team’s territory they would have to drive the field.  Have first downs just like normal. When one team scores they kick off to the other team and the process is repeated.  And if the overtime goes into too many periods like 3 for example then instill sudden death (next team to score wins) but determine possesion by another coin toss

Idk what would be best what you think
